This was the first event of its kind in Perth promoting personal electric  transport technology for every day use. Ten participants completed the rally around Technology Park in Bentley on a Sunday. Some of the  vehicles were home made others were commercial models.

Jonathon Thwaite’s electric bike. Purchased motor wheel installed on an old bicycle, home made battery pack using D size NiCads from old exit lighting units. Nominally 350 Watt, 48 Volt brushed DC motor with planetary gear from Taiwan. Range approx. 20 km at 15 km/h.
